Feasibility Studies

When considering elimination, countries face many tough questions: Is elimination possible? Is it cost-effective? Where will the funding come from? If my country achieves it, can we sustain it? Before deciding to embark on a path to elimination, the MEG recommends that countries conduct a thorough assessment of the technical, operational, and financial feasibility of elimination in their country or targeted area. Zanzibar is leading the way in this new approach. With the assistance of the Clinton Foundation and the UCSF Global Health Group, Zanzibar completed a formal feasibility assessment.
